Everything began with a farewell – saying goodbye to our Large Swiss Mountain Dogs. All of a sudden, our male dog died and our bitch was diagnosed with cancer and the accordant expectation of life.
It was clear for us to continue living with dogs. So, we searched for a puppy which was difficult because the estimated time of waiting for a Large Swiss Mountain Dog was two years. We were lucky to inspect puppies quite soon – but we could not decide which one to take.
How could we do so? Our loved dog was still alive and we were looking for a copy of her.
So we decided to change the breed. My husband had fancied Airedale terrier for many years. The dog of his childhood dreams had been an Airedale terrier that jumped through a window viewing a cat. A little boy can become very enthusiastic about such a story.
And so our Airedale time began.
Detailed information about the breed, searching the internet for a beautiful breed-typical Airedale – we wanted a male dog quite soon because he was supposed to spend the remaining time with our Swiss Mountain Dog. Fortunately, we found puppies in Dippoldiswalde. My husband visited them – one male dog was still available – and settled for him.
On the 2nd of July Moses moved in and everything began – three black irresistible buttons in his face we could not resist – a new love was born.
